Life gets busy

We’ve had a lot happen this past year and I have finally gotten a chance to get back to this. I’ve missed it.

I spent the last month sorting, editing, and loading the pictures from the last year so that I can get caught up (my OCD makes it so I have to post them chronologically). But that makes it so anyone who really follows will not miss anything.

So excuse me if I fill anyone’s Google reader with all the posts I will be finishing. Although it might not be too much at a time because my life isn’t getting any less busy anytime soon.

What makes YOU lucky?

On the last grocery shopping trip I bought some yogurt covered raisins for the kids, on a whim. The kids like them but it’s not something I think to buy usually.

You would not believe how excited Gavin was when he saw them. They’re just raisins after all, but it sure made his day. He was having them with lunch today and declared that he was the “luckiest boy, because I can fit a whole handful of raisins in my mouth at once!”

Ok, I’m going to try this…

I’ve never been one to fill out baby books. A lady I used to work with could always recount something funny her grandkids had done or said and I could never think of anything from my kids. Wendy has always been better about remembering cute things from when we lived with her when Saedi was little. I always get asked by the kids grandparents what new thing the kids are doing lately and I can never think of anything remarkable.

Lately I’ve been watching the kids and realizing there are little, everyday things that I won’t remember a week later, but are worth remembering. So if I try to keep a blog, I might be better about remembering the details. As a bonus I will also have a better way to show off all the pictures I take, rather than keeping them all to myself on my hard drive.

I will also try to put up pictures and things I can remember from the past. To let me do this chronologically I am changing the date of this post to be the day our family started.
