This is what the Easter beagle…I mean bunny, has left for us.
As the kids were coming down the stairs I was hoping they wouldn’t notice where some of the eggs were hidden and go for the baskets.
It sort of worked for the big kids but Solvei went straight for the eggs and didn’t care about the other stuff. I was able to show her how to put what she had found into her basket and she (and Nels) thought that was VERY interesting.
It’s a good thing the Easter bunny puts all the eggs for the big kids where Solvei and Nels can’t reach.
This was Solvei and Nels’ first Easter that they have been old enough to hunt for eggs. Solvei got so excited!
She picked up most off the eggs, but Nels didn’t really notice because he figured out he could open the first one he found.
They are so much fun to watch!
They are pretty good at sharing and “making sure the other has some too” – as long as they have some first.
When all were found, Solvei and Nels decided to trade eggs for a few minutes.
This was the first that all four of them have been exposed to the delight that is Cadbury Creme eggs (I think only Saedi’s had them before and that was a while ago). Solvei and Nels both tried to eat theirs with the wrappers still on (I know it’s candy just let me eat it!). Just look at the haul our kids came away with, and we only got two small bags of candy for them.
